Directly Sourced
We source all our coffee directly from farmers and farming cooperatives. Our coffee team have built up strong relationships with these groups over many years, visiting each farmer to ensure coffee quality, good working conditions for all and that fair prices are being paid to the producers and fair wages are going to the workers.
Supporting Local Communities
We are big supporters of the local communities in which we are part of in the UK and abroad. In order to support the coffee communities we work with outside the UK, we created the Coffee Farming Project working directly with farmers in Ethiopia at the Bench Maji Cooperative.
We donate 5p from every H+H filter coffee we sell helping to fund a wide range of activities such as new equipment, improved farming techniques and crop diversification. We are particularly proud of our work with the Bench Maji cooperative on introducing honey production as an alternative income source and driving improved crop production for their coffee plants.
